Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 180.5 points down at 24117.0 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Fusion Micro Finance, Focus Lighting, Tasty Bite Eatable, Baid Leasing and Nandani Creation, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 12 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 38 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, HDFC Life, Tata Motors, SBI Life, HDFC Bank and Cipla were among top gainers during the day, while LTIMindtree, Grasim Inds., Asian Paints, Tata Consumer and Infosys ended in the red. The BSE Sensex closed 581.79 points down at 78886.22. Traders piled up positions in General, Telecommunications, Packaging, Tea / Coffee and Trading sectors, while selling was witnessed in Irrigation & Allied Services, Infrastructure, Gas & Petroleum, Electric/Electronics and Construction sectors during the day.
