Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 292.95 points down at 24852.15 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Stampede Cap(DVR), Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Globale Tessile, Raymond Lifestyle L and Divgi Torqtransfer, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 7 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 43 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel, Divis Labs and LTIMindtree were among top gainers during the day, while SBI, BPCL, ICICI Bank, NTPC and HCL Tech ended in the red. The BSE Sensex closed 1017.23 points down at 81183.93. Traders piled up positions in Beverages – Alcoholic, Services, General, Retail and Gems and Jewellery sectors, while selling was witnessed in Irrigation & Allied Services, Infrastructure, Rubber, Tourism & Hospitality and Tea / Coffee sectors during the day.
