Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.5% in an upbeat market
Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.53 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.28 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 1.4 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.5 per cent at 21458.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 103.71 points at 24229.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 381.18 points at 79789.68.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, RBL Bank, Suzlon Energy and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Krishna Instt of Medical Sciences, Shree Vasu Logistics, Cura Tech, NACL Industries and Ddev Plastiks Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while AGS Transact Tech, Gensol Engg, Sai Silks(Kalamandir), Dhanvarsha Finvest and Supreme Infra hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
