Payments Regulatory Board holds its first meeting
Mumbai: The Payments Regulatory Board (PRB) on Monday held its first meeting in Mumbai under the chairmanship of Reserve Bank of India governor Sanjay Malhotra, marking the operationalisation of the new regulatory framework for payment systems. During the meeting, the board reviewed the functions of RBI‘s department of payment and settlement systems and discussed key focus areas across domestic and global payment systems.
