The company holds a portfolio of prospective natural gas tenements on Australia’s east coast, including assets located in Queensland’s Cooper Basin and the Surat Basin Walloon Coal Seam Gas (CSG) fairway. These regions are recognised for their established gas production history, existing infrastructure, and potential to support future supply development.
In the context of tightening global gas markets and ongoing energy supply constraints, natural gas is expected to remain an important component of Australia’s energy mix. Eastern Gas’s activities are directed toward the identification and potential development of domestic gas resources that may contribute to electricity generation, industrial demand, and energy system reliability during the transition toward lower-emissions energy sources.
It is anticipated that EGA will list in the ASX during February 2026.
