Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 24.65 points down at 22932.45 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as IKIO Lighting, Best Agrolife, Sintex Plastics Tech, Revathi Equipment and Morarjee Text, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 20 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Divis Labs, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Adani Ports SEZ and LTIMindtree were among top gainers during the day, while Adani Ent., Wipro, Grasim Inds., ONGC and SBI Life ended in the red. The BSE Sensex closed 19.89 points down at 75390.5. Traders piled up positions in Tea / Coffee, Miscellaneous, Term Lending Institutions, Auto Ancillaries and Consumer Durables sectors, while selling was witnessed in Defence, Trading, Learning & Education, Glass and Media & Entertainment sectors during the day.
