Central Banks: Monetary policies will be reviewed in Hungary, Kyrgyzstan and Israel. Bostic of the Fed and Lane of the European Central Bank are among the monetary officials that will be speaking publicly. The Jackson Hole Symposium wraps up on August 25th.

U.S. Economic Data Releases: Quarterly GDP and monthly personal income, personal consumption, PCE price deflator, Dallas and Richmond Fed manufacturing surveys, Chicago regional PMI, durable goods orders, Case-Shiller and FHFA home price indices, and Conference Board and U. Michigan/Reuters indices of consumer sentiment. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, chain store sales and energy inventories.
Euroland Releases: Money and credit growth, unemployment, consumer prices, car sales and economic sentiment.
Members of the Euro Area: GDP in Germany, France, Finland, Belgium, Portugal, Lithuania, Estonia and Cyprus. Consumer prices in Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. Spanish, French, Finnish, Slovenian, Irish, Austrian, and Cypriot producer prices. Croatian and Estonian retail sales. Finnish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese consumer confidence. Italian business confidence and unemployment. German import prices and IFO business climate index. Cypriot and Croatian industrial production.
U.K. and Switzerland: British shop prices, car sales, distributive trades survey, money growth, and mortgage approvals. Swiss retail sales, KOF index of leading indicators, and investor sentiment.
