Central Banks: Monetary policy reviews are scheduled in China, Australia, Great Britain, Switzerland, Norway, Moldova, Indonesia, Brazil and Georgia. Central Bank policy minutes will be published in Japan and Canada. Goolsbee, Harker, Barkin and Kuglar of the Fed and Nagel and Schnabel of the European Central Bank will be speaking publicly.
Holidays and Special Events: The U.S. Juneteenth holiday falls on Wednesday. The 3-day annual summit of G7 leaders hosted this time by Italy ends tomorrow.
Preliminary June Purchasing Manager Survey Findings: Australia, Japan, India, Euroland, U.K., France, Germany and the United States.
Other Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Quarterly current account. Monthly retail sales, housing starts, building permits, existing home sales, NAHB housing market index, industrial production, capacity usage, Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing surveys, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and index of leading economic indicators. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, energy inventories and chain store sales.
Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese trade balance, consumer prices and machinery orders. Chinese industrial production, retail sales, fixed asset investment, foreign direct investment, and unemployment rate.
Selected Other Asian Indicators: Indonesian and Singaporean trade balances. Hong Kong’s current account and South Korean producer prices.
Euroland Releases: Quarterly labor costs and monthly revised CPI, consumer confidence, ZEW investor sentiment index, current account, and car sales.
Members of the Euro Area: German producer prices and ZEW expectations survey. Italian revised CPI and construction output. French business confidence and Ireland’s trade balance. Dutch and Belgian consumer confidence.
U.K. and Switzerland: British CPI, PPI, Rightmove house price index, retail sales, public sector net borrowing, consumer confidence, construction output, and survey of industrial trends. Swiss trade balance and updated government macroeconomic forecasts.
Denmark, Norway and Russia: Danish and Russian producer prices. Norway’s trade balance and Danish consumer confidence.
Australia and New Zealand: Australia index of leading economic indicators. New Zealand quarterly GDP growth and current account and monthly service-sector purchasing managers index.
Canada and Mexico: Canadian property prices, housing starts, retail sales and producer prices. Mexican retail sales and economic activity index.
