RailTel Corporation Shares Gain 2% on Securing Rs 32 Crore Order
Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd were trading in the green and almost 2% higher on 3 November after the company announced securing an order from the Rajasthan Council of School Education.
In its regulatory filing, the company said, “RailTel has received Letter of Acceptance from Rajasthan Council of School Education service amounting to Rs 32,43,16,000 for Adhaar Enrolment & updation service.”
Earlier, on 31 October, the company received a work order from a defence sector customer for Rs 1,36,00,00,000, which is due to be completed by 29 January 2027.
RailTel Corporation, a “Navratna” Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways, stands among India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers. The company operates an extensive pan-India optical fibre network spanning over 60,000 route kilometres, covering more than 6,000 railway stations.
The company’s second-quarter net profit increased by 4.7% to Rs 76.07 crore, up from Rs 72.64 crore the previous year. Whereas, the company’s revenue increased 12.78% to Rs 951.36 crore from Rs 843.49 crore last year.
At 2:01 pm, the shares of RailTel Corporation were trading 0.42% higher at Rs 369.65 on NSE.
