This holiday season, Santa is preparing a special gift list for OverProtocol’s early contributors. To secure your spot on the list and claim your rewards, all you have to do is become a Home-Staker and contribute to the network’s growth. Here’s how you can make sure your name is on the list for these exclusive gifts!

Before we tell you how to get on Santa’s list, here’s why this event matters:

Over Team has been running its own nodes to ensure the stability and security of the early network. However, as more validators are operated by individuals, We will gradually phase out its nodes.

This process takes time, as an immediate withdrawal of the Over Team’s validator nodes could not only impact the stability and security of the network but also delay the onboarding of individual validators into the network. In the meantime, rewards generated by Over Team-operated nodes will be partially redistributed to early Home-Stakers through fun and engaging events.

These efforts will continue through January 2025, and similar exciting events will be planned even beyond that, ensuring early contributors and the growing community have ongoing opportunities to benefit from their participation.

Step 1: Set Up Home-Staking

• What is Home-Staking?
  Home-Staking is the process of staking $OVER tokens through OverScape to run a validator node directly from your personal computer.

Step 2: Meet the Snapshot Criteria

To qualify for the airdrop, you must:

• Be actively running a validator node at the snapshot time, or
• Have submitted a deposit transaction to register as a validator.

1st Snapshot

• Date: December 23, 00:00 UTC
• Rewards: 400,000 $OVER

2nd Snapshot

• Date: December 26, 00:00 UTC
• Rewards: 400,000 $OVER

3rd Snapshot

• Date: Late January
• Rewards: More than 1,000,000 $OVER

Step 3: Maximize Rewards

Rewards increase based on the duration of your validator activity across the three snapshot periods. Staking the same $OVER amount could result in up to 2x the rewards, depending on your activity level.

✅ Airdrop rewards will begin to be distributed randomly to eligible participants after each snapshot.

✅ The rewards will be added to your OverScape as additional staking for your active validator node.

✅ However, if your validator has reached the maximum staking limit of 16,384 $OVER, the rewards will be airdropped directly into your OverFlex account.
