Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Shares End 0.75% Higher After Opening 5 Branches









Shares of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd ended 0.75% higher on 29th December after the bank said it is on an expansion drive and has opened new branches in Velandipalayam, Kalapatti, Davanagere, Puthukkadai and Nikol, according to an exchange filing. The move is part of the bank’s strategy to expand its presence in these regions.

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has appointed Thiru S Balasubramanian, Deputy Vice President, as its Data Protection Officer, effective 26th December 2025.

The bank reported an 11.47% year-over-year rise in total business to Rs 1,02,417 crore in the September quarter, compared with Rs 91,875 crore in the same period last year.

Total business also grew 3.53% quarter-over-quarter from Rs 98,923 crore in the June quarter.

At 3:30 PM, shares of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank ended 0.80% higher at Rs 508.95 on NSE.
