Reliance Industries (-1%) & IndusInd Bank (-4%) weighed on benchmarks.
Sector Performance
Financials were down 0.4%, Nifty Bank (-0.6%) while PSU Banks saw the harshest decline of -2%.
Mid & Small Caps Hit
Nifty Midcap 100 fell 1.6% while the Smallcap 100 dropped around 2.1%.
Global Markets
European stocks dropped; Hang Seng fell 1.9%, Shanghai Composite was down 0.2% while Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 0.4%.
Rupee & Crude
INR weakened and fell 0.5% to 87.33/$, and saw its sharpest decline in two weeks while Brent crude was steady at $70.25 amid U.S. tariff concerns.
