Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value
NEW DELHI: KEI Industries(Rs. 2404.73 crore), BSE(Rs. 2396.03 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 2273.66 crore), Polycab India(Rs. 2060.33 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 2036.13 crore), RIL(Rs. 2016.45 crore), GRSE(Rs. 1997.37 crore), KEC Int.(Rs. 1724.26 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1569.94 crore) and ICICI Bank(Rs. 1436.05 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 283.06 points up at 23190.65, while BSE Sensex rose 899.01 points to 76348.06.
In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 4.16 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 3.80 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 2.64 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.59 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.57 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.60 per cent), Trent Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
