| 1. Access the Official OpenAI Platform | First, go to OpenAI Platform. |
| 2. Create a Free OpenAI Account | Click the “Sign up” button in the top-right corner, and sign up using your email address or Google/Microsoft account. * If you already have an account, click “Log in.” |
| 3. Open the API Key Page | After logging in, click the profile icon at the top-right of the screen, and from the menu that appears, select View API keys. |
| 4. Create a New API Key | Click the “Create new secret key” button to generate a new API key. |
| 5. Copy and Save Your API Key | The displayed API key cannot be shown again later, so be sure to copy it and save it in a secure location. Example: sk-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 6. Enter the API Key into Your EA or App | Paste the acquired API key into the designated location of your EA or application. |
